Baden-Baden. Also called the summer capital of Europe in the 19th century, Baden-Württemberg's smallest urban district has been a popular recreational spot for thousands of years. Even the ancient Romans knew how to relax in the wonderful
Aquae. Various Spas and their recreational character have been preserved to this day. On a short tour we explore the casino, theater and the wonderful Lichtentaler Allee to reach Friedrichsbad and the Roman bath ruins via the old town. As a distinct highlight, we visit the “Fettquelle”, a wonderful thermal spring behind the Friedrichsbad.
On request, we also offer a wonderful hike through the foothills of the Black Forest, ending with a visit to Hohenbaden Castle.
